FACILITIES EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform facilities equipment service activities to maintain a high level of customer service in building, equipment, and utility operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and control circuits, motors, and contractors
  • Electrical – ability to troubleshoot 480 Volts and below.
  • Proficient in facility equipment troubleshooting
  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building controls)
  • Good communication skills; you’ll be working with different levels of staff throughout the organization and contractors
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and shutdowns as needed
  • Self-motivated, creative thinking and positive attitude, continuous improvement and customer service driven
  • Must use time effectively and prevent irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Perform work exposed to weather conditions: heat, cold, wind, rain, snow
  • Climb stairs and ladders and work at heights
  • Perform work involving twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, and other powered industrial equipment

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of a 2-year technical degree or three-plus years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
