KTH has a dedicated group of engineers that work with automotive stamped parts from concept through production. When a new automotive model is in development, our Stamping Engineers create a die process for each part and then work with our Forming Simulation Engineers to evaluate part formability. Once there is an approved design and process, the Stamping Engineer works with die makers to acquire costs and eventually purchase the production dies.
Our Stamping Engineers perform Project Management tasks by evaluating the progress of the dies’ design and manufacturing against the project’s time table. After the dies have been built, the Stamping Engineer works with our New Model Quality Group to verify that the quality of the parts produced meets or exceeds the parts’ specifications.
