Forming Simulation Analysis

Automotive manufacturers are researching and using more lightweight materials and complex forms in their parts to reduce weight and improve rigidity. KTH utilizes state-of-the-art technologies for analyzing the automotive part’s design and performs simulation analysis to determine the formability of each frame part.

The forming analysis is compatible to the break and wrinkle determination standards that were generated based on the experiences of simulation from the time the materials became available in the market and the know-how built up by those experiences. KTH can propose the appropriate specifications to match our customers’ needs and to reduce the lead time of the die production by performing material springback (the material’s tendency to return to its original state) analysis, resulting in fast transition to mass production.
