Industrial Process Planning Engineer

KTH Parts Industries in St. Paris, Ohio, is hiring an Industrial Process Planning Engineer for their first shift team. As a Planning Engineer, you will focus on developing, optimizing, and overseeing the design of the new and existing weld lines that will build our products in the safest and most cost-efficient way.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop process flow designs for new products
  • Develop & modify weld line concepts to optimize efficiency while avoiding ergonomic issues
  • Generate quotes & budgets, analyze efficiencies, and present findings to upper management
  • Create long-term strategic facility layout plans and decision analyses to identify optimal solutions
  • Ability to interact and Provide mentorship and team building through work habits, communication, and the sharing of knowledge and expertise; expand and maintain technical expertise through formal and on-the-job training opportunities
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Business open office atmosphere with limited hybrid work opportunities
  • Direct access to the production floor for validation of manufacturing processes
  • High volume of interaction with Excel, PowerPoint, and various digital validation software

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Four Year Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Statistical & Cost Benefit Analysis experience
  • Self-motivation and critical thinking skills
  • Strong Project Management abilities (Communications Presentation and Organization)
  • 3D Modeling Software Experience for design review and process flow investigation
  • AutoCAD for weld line design and plant layout
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, & VBA)
