Capacity Planner

KTH Parts Industries, Inc. in St. Paris, Ohio, is seeking a Stamping Press Capacity Planner to join their team on the 1st shift. Responsible for determining the production capacity needed by the organization to meet changing product demands.  Understands how the business operates and plans for future capacity requirements.  Undertakes planning activities to meet targets and optimize manufacturing efficiency to balance stamping volume across our facilities—work under general supervision, reviewed by Management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate sheet metal stamping allocations for each facility, monitor and balance stamping capacity utilization across multiple facilities
  • Analyze appropriate information and data to prepare plans and forecasts
  • Reconcile variances from the original and maintain a view of actual against forecast projections
  • Create, report, and track capacity plans that meet business targets and optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs
  • Work cross-functionally with plant personnel press project team to optimize the stamping supply chain
  • Assist in the coordination of press project timing based on volume and capacity availability
  • Write capital application requests and create die budgets, track and coordinate die moves
  • Create and maintain die sheets (quotes) and cost charts
  • Develop capacity and allocation plans in support of press projects
  • Assess existing capacity and draw up forecasts based on future plans for demand
  • Review systems and methods to continually improve plans so that the organization can better anticipate customer needs

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Preferred BS in engineering or business field and three years experience of stamping experience or equivalent stamping experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software with advanced skills in Excel (data entry, Visual Basic, and charts) and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function well as  a group or individual
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task
