CONTROLS & AUTOMATION ENGINEER
KTH Parts Industries in St. Paris is hiring a Controls & Automation Engineer whose primary responsibility is building electrical components for an automation cell and integrating them into a weld cell with PLC programming. This role entails collaborating closely with our engineering project leaders and technicians. You will play a crucial role in our company’s success.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with vendors on the design and programming structure for new welding cells.
- Complete control system design and integration, including PLC and HMI programming, panel building, and control wiring
- Robotic installation, including integration and teaching (FANUC preferred)
- Work within time constraints to integrate new equipment for new model production
- Assist with installing new models, including design, installation, integration, trial events, and mass production.
- Modify existing cells to incorporate new equipment, including robots, weld equipment, jigs, etc.
- Upgrade current processes to improve safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering degree or comparable related experience.
- Experience in project management as a lead electrical support.
- Experience with pneumatic circuits and control systems.
- Experience with VFDs, servo controls, conveyors, Ethernet, Mitsubishi products and software, CC-Link, DeviceNET, Modbus/TCP, and Ethernet I/P communication protocols preferred.
- Experience programming and integrating Keyence 2-D vision inspection processes using IV Vision sensors and XG-X and VS series vision systems preferred. Any vision experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and experience with CATIA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project execution.
